The First Annual Pine Haven Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament was held Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Keyhole Country Club in Pine Haven, WY. We had 30 golfers, 7 sponsors and lots of volunteers….not to mention beautiful weather! Thank you to everyone involved as we celebrate a very successful tournament. $840.00 was paid in prize monies to the top three place winners, in addition to the Calcutta pay out. The funds raised will go towards Chamber operations and programs.

Denise Fullewider, and Zane Iocavetto both won ‘longest putt from on the green.’ Mark Rabenberg, Russell Waters and Rita Neal won ‘closest to the pin.’ Mark Rabenberg and Gail Muhlbauer won “longest drive”.

PINE HAVEN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO HOST GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER
Golfers from all over the country will meet on the links in Crook County this summer for the 1st Annual Pine Haven Chamber Golf Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, July 25 at the beautiful Keyhole Country Club overlooking Keyhole Reservoir in Pine Haven, Wyoming. This venue provides the Chamber with the perfect spot for our golf fundraiser event where you can test your golf skills with the best of the best.
This year’s tournament is a "Golf Schamble." A Schamble is a type of golf tournament that combines elements of a scramble with elements of stroke play. Like in a scramble, all members of a team (three in this tournament) tee off and the best ball of the three tee shots is selected. All players move their balls to the spot of the best ball. From this point, the hole is played out at stroke play, with all members of the team playing their own ball into the hole. This Golf Schamble will be played with full handicaps to make sure weaker players contribute to the team score. The team score will be the two low balls of the group. In addition to the prizes for the flights, the tournament will include sponsor awards for Closest to the Pin (men’s and women’s), Longest Drive (men’s and women’s) and Longest Putt on the Green (men’s and women’s). There will also be a pre-tournament Calcutta, starting at 9:00 a.m., with two places paid per flight.
The Chamber Schamble is the second largest Chamber fundraiser this year. Proceeds go towards the Chamber's operation and event needs. We appreciate your support and are looking forward to a great golf event this year. The cost of the event is only $60 per player or $180 per team (tax-deductible); which includes green fees. Interested players and threesomes of men, women and co-ed teams are invited to join their family, friends and playing partners for a fantastic day of fun, festivities and fundraising for a good cause.
